Three Days

There are only three days until the BIG DAY. Steven arrived on Thursday; Denis and Laura arrived on Saturday; and everyone is sleeping in the same house!!! But we are hoping to move our stuff into the house and then I will be sleeping there, though without electricity. There won't be any of that good stuff for another couple of weeks, as we need a poll. Oh well!

Tomorrow is the Bachorette party, thanks to Alicia. Thursday is the rehersal and rehersal dinner. Then wedding on Friday. Then I start work on Thusday. I promise to have pictures once we get back from our honeymoon and life gets settled. Then there should be more regular posts. Till then!

The Home is Here!!!

Our house arrived yesterday...finally. It came from New Brunswick on Tuesday, but because of rain they were unable to bring the mini-home to the land. But now it's here!!!

This is a picture of the outside, except it is missing our bedroom window on the right of the home. I'll get a better one once we have finished building the deck.

Here are our first visitors. My father on the argo in the back. From left to right: Grandmama Perron, Mom, Toni, and Jon.

Here was our second visitor yesterday. Tom, Jon's father, on his motorcycle. And yes...I have been on it for a ride a few times with Jon.

And here were the third visitors yesterday. Nannie Davidson, Amanda, and Gramps Davidson.

So now for pics of the home itself. Here is our bedroom. The door there leads to our private bathroom. There is a walk-in closet to the left of that door. And we have a nice big window. Can't wait to get some stuff in there.

Here is me in our kitchen. I just love it!!! It is really bright and sunny.

Here is a pic of the living room. In the back right corner are two door. Door on the right is the second bathroom and door on the left is the spare bedroom.

There are actually three bedroom, but one will be an office and eventually a baby room. Yeah...weird to think of me with kids...I know.

And here is Jon in the living room but from the other angle.

Well, that is our home for now. We'll have more pics once we move in and settle down. Oh...and two weeks from today we will be married!!!

Davidson Dinner and The Fireworks

This was a pretty good weekend. We had couples night with Josh and Felisha, Tom and Paula, and Jon and meself. After supper we played dominos. I have to admit that I was awful; but in my defense, I had never played the real way before. Here is a picture of me and Jon.

Then Saturday night was a blast. A few of us went to the fireworks in Halifax for Natal Day. I am sure the fireworks would have been really great to see, but from where we were standing most of the fireworks were hidden behind the world trade centre. I guess next year we'll have to make sure we are over in Dartmouth. Here are some pictures of us downtown.

Alicia, Toni, and me (Toni lives with my parents).
James and Jon (James is the best man in the wedding).

And Jon and me.

After the fireworks, there was a good time at Alicia's just telling old stories and joking around. It was great fun. Hope you all had a great weekend too.

Latest Land Pics

Here are some pictures I took last night while Jon and I were clearing the last section of trees.

Here is Chainsaw Jonny.

Jonathan really wanted me to put a picture of the back of his truck on...so here it is. He wanted to show everyone how dirty Big Bertha was right now. But soon, maybe, we'll have a shed to put that stuff in.

This is a picture of the whole land, and there is also a full view of Big Bertha.

Here is Jon and I after an evening of work. Not a very flattering picture of me.

And here we are with our land.

Next week will be a big one, as the mini-home is coming a week from Tuesday. Can hardly wait!

Oh...and as of today...only four more weeks until we are married!!!!

Finally Recovered from the Weekend

Well, Jonathan and I had an eventful weekend with a birthday party, the exhibition, and tubing down the LaHave River. Unfortunately, I have no pictures this time. Jon and I really need to get our own camera soon!

First off...Josh, Jon's brother, had his 22 birthday. There was a nice supper hosted by Paula (Jon's mama), and lots of good times. Josh & Felisha, Andy & Anna, Micah, Luke Miller, the Howitt brothers, and the family were all there. And I have to mention the awesome cakes that Felisha made!!! Ummm!

Then off to the big Ex. Jon, myself, the Howitt guys, and Toni all went. There were the crazy rides, which I can no longer handle. Seeing both Jon and myself are not fans of the crazier rides, we went on the Ferris Wheel to not kiss at the top. ;-) And there was the cotton candy and the candy apple. And, this year, we added the horse pulls.

But I have to say the the best...umm..no, no...the worst/scariest part of the weekend was tubing on Sunday. So the situation: there was a miscount tubes, so Jon and I decided to share the biggest tube. Also, the River is the fastest it has been in a few years, so there are a lot of rapids. Normally the rapids wouldn't such a big deal, but with the combination of the tube, me & Jon on it together, and the fast water...well, there was a bit of an accident. The rapids flipped Jon and I off the tube into the water a few times. For the sake of my mother...I will only tell you about the last time. We flipped and under we went. Jon went to grab me but I pushed away as I wasn't hanging on to the tube. He is yelling that it will be okay, to float, and other words of encouragement. as we both try to avoid the large rocks. He bumped into one and hurt his leg....I managed to slide over several shape ones on my back. Once we got a hold of each other, he tried to get me back on the tube and out of the rough water. We finally managed by getting a grip on a large rock. So, Jon missed work on Monday, but is doing good now. I have some bruising on my arms and legs and my back has some cuts, scrapes and bruises; however, all is healing well. The incident only made me love Jon all the more as he took lead and protected me.

So there is the late up-date of the weekend. This week so far...building permit in...mini-home arriving on August 15...cutting trees again. So not overly exciting.
